SLEMAN: Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) menyiapkan empat pola bagi mahasiswa S1 yang ingin memburu beasiswa luar negeri. Kepala Humas UGM, Suryo Baskoro mengatakan, tiga pola beasiswa yang disiapkan UGM menyangkut kerjasama dengan Perguruan Tinggi (PT) terbaik dunia, memanfaatkan jaringan sponsor, dan lembaga beasiswa internasional. Tercatat, UGM tahun ini bekerjasama dengan 350 PT terbaik di dunia melalui pertukaran mahasiswa, dosen dan peneliti.

Melalui pola tersebut, UGM tidak menetapkan kuota calon penerima beasiswa karena menyesuaikan dengan kemampuan mahasiswa. Pertukaran pelajar bersifat saling menguntungkan, yakni mahasiswa mendapat fasilitas bebas SPP dan biaya kebutuhan hidup yang lain. “Pertukaran mahasiswa mendasarkan pada kesepakatan kedua negara tentang fasilitas pendidikan yang akan dicapai,” ujarnya di UGM, Rabu (4/5).

Guna memberi kesempatan seluas-luasnya, Suryo menyebutkan UGM telah menggalang kerjasama dengan sponsor sehingga mahasiswa berkesempatan mendapat beasiswa di luar negeri. Jaringan sponsor yang dimanfaatkan UGM meliputi konsorsium Perguruan Tinggi Amerika Serikat (AS), Perancis, Jepang, Korea, dan Taiwan.(Harian Jogja/Shinta Maharani)
